Firstmonie,
the mobile money solution of FirstBank Nigeria Limited has gone into a
partnership with Sweet Sensation, a fast food chain to offer customers
convenient payment solution.
With
this partnership, Firstmonie agents are stationed at Sweet Sensation outlets,
opening accounts and offering discount to customers who use their channel.
Speaking
at the unveiling of this partnership in Lagos yesterday,
the Managing Director,
Firstmonie, Mr. Mike Ogbalu said: “The Sweet Sensation brand has been a brand
that has stood the test of time, and when organisations endure they become
great brands, and when two great brands come together, the consumer wins
because the consumer benefits.”
Ogbalu
explained that the partnership meant certain discounts to consumers and would
also create convenient and safe payment options to customers.
He
added: “We are an operation that has been two years so far and we have over two
million subscribers so we think our partnership would mean that we would
leverage on the relationship we have with the brand of sweet sensation as they
would leverage on ours.”
Also
speaking at the launch, the Chief Executive Officer, Sweet Sensation, Mrs.
Kehinde Kamson said: “The collaboration between FirstBank and Sweet Sensation
is a very strategic one. Aside from the desire of every economy to move from
cashless society, this move would also help us achieve convenience in our daily
transactions.”
She
further said: “The convenience of being able to conduct transactions through
your phones and for our customers, we think it is a win-win situation in the
sense that our customers don’t have to worry to carry cash into our restaurants
to execute their transactions.
“We
think this is great and we think sweet sensation is part of that desire to move
this society towards a cashless one.”
